Encouraged by Joseph Campbell's remark that the best predictor of an artistic career was the number of different jobs held before age 30, he turned finally to art and writing. \nHis first novel, Darkwalker, gained critical praise, and Publisher’s Weekly lauded his short story “Snovhit” as having a “authentically ancient feel.” \nBest known for his artistic contribution to Neil Gaiman’s Sandman series, and his graphic novel version of Anne Rice’s The Witching Hour, Eagleson has also created art and designs for book covers, movie posters, advertisements, corporate identity projects, videos, magazines, and even T-shirts, for clients such as Doubleday Books, Tor Books, New Line Cinema, Warner Communications \u0026amp; DC Comics, rock groups like The Who, Phil Collins, and Def Leppard. Also a leather sculptor, Eagleson has created masks for Wes Craven’s Cursed, the Smithsonian, the WWE wrestler Kane, the Big Apple Circus, and magician Jeff McBride. \nEagleson lives just outside Boston, and spends most of his time in his studio, surrounded by far too many drums, swords, books, and DVDs.
